A: The JuiceBox will smooth out your idle, improve gas mileage, increase horsepower, reduce emissions, extend your RPM band, and quicken cold starts.  Q: How does The JuiceBox Gold 8 work? A:  Your STOCK ignition system in your 1978-91 AMC or Jeep® V8 engine only puts out about 20,000 volts of spark to your spark plugs.  This  provides a minimal spark in your piston chamber to ignite your fuel and kick your pistons.  Not only that, but the stock distributor cap is so small, that when you reach about 3000 RPMs, your rotor is spinning so fast in such a confined area, that spark starts to “jump” to more than one spark plug terminal at a time, resulting in what is known as “cross-firing.”  This is why your Jeep® stumbles at around 3000 RPM and peaks acceleration. The JuiceBox contains a replacement High Energy Ignition Coil which puts out over 50,000 volts of usable spark!  It also contains a Larger Distributor Cap with a Cap Adapter to fit your stock distributor.  This allows the HOTTER SPARK to travel to the appropriate terminals WITHOUT cross-firing, therefore increases your acceleration RPM band to about 4,000+ RPMs!  In addition, the Male Brass Terminal Posts used in The JuiceBox provide a MUCH more solid contact between the plug wires and distributor cap.  The Heavy Duty 8mm Spark Plug Wires also carry the spark much more effectively than the 7mm wires used in stock Jeep® applications.
